Description
"A return run of 80 miles along mostly good B & C roads through picturesque villages in Norfolk and Suffolk to Debach ("Deb-idge") Airfield. Debach Airfield Museum is situated on an old World War II United States Air Force Station. Debach was one of the last 8th Air Force heavy bomber stations to be occupied by the American 8th Army Air Force, its first mission was on D-Day 6th June 1944. After the US forces left, Debach was used first as a P O W camp and later for displaced persons, before being abandoned in about 1948. The Museum serves hot and cold drinks but the return route will pass by Parham airfield where snacks can be purchased."
Entrants should be aware that there will be no 'back up' on this run.
