Southwold Run Report

On a typical damp Autumn morning 20 riders and 3 pillions left Carbrooke towards Southwold passing through the lovely villages of Stradbrooke and Laxfield. As the weather warmed up it was most enjoyable until some of us were challenged by an new road diversion in Harleston with 10 miles to go. However everyone made it to their chosen eatery, on the banks of the River Blyth, either pub, cafe, or chippy.

The return route took in Stoven, Brampton, the Elmhams and Pulhams.

Back in Carbrooke, Deborah had produced apple and blackberry crumble with custard which provided a warming end to the day around a rather smoky firepit. Someone suggested we should call it the Crumble Run next time – or even the Crumblies Run!

Thanks to all who came, Deborah for the food and Val for the use of a larger trailer, which thankfully wasn't needed. Also thanks to Deb, Dudley, Arthur and Steve who suffered near cardiac failure getting Brian's recalcitrant Velocette bump started.
