Bow Street Run

Peter and Maggie put on another Bow Street Run using the south of Norfolk B roads. 23 riders and 2 passengers turned up at Bow Street for tea and biscuits.

There was a good mix of vehicles from a Vintage BSA to modern'ish Yamaha and Hondas.

The route took us through Thompson , Kilverstone and East Harling before heading east towards Old Buckenham and Jimmy's Cafe situated on the active Old Buckenham Airfield.

We were able to watch the light aircraft take off and land for pleasure flights; these include a Model 75 Stearman Kaydet .

After lunch we made the return route to Bow Street the route taking us through Carleton Rode, Wymondham and Reymerston before heading back for tea and cakes at the finish which was rather eventful. Dudley had broken down on route on the Tiger Cub and two riders Pete and Simon had a mishap at a filling station putting diesel in their bikes, both stopped half a mile down the road. Both were recovered one by Pete and the other by Peter.

Our thanks go to Peter and Maggie for putting on the run Cynthia for the sign on and the hard working Peter for the backup. Thanks go to Steve for the pictures.
