On June 15th six riders met at Postwick Village Hall and set off at 12 noon for the 36 mile ride to Southwold Harbour. The route joined the A47 to Trowse then took B roads through Bramerton, Claxton, Loddon, Beccles, Henstead and Wangford .  On approaching Southwold we encountered wet roads with puddles everywhere but fortunately missed the rain. We met up with the Ipswich Section at Mrs Tee’s fish and chips shop, they however had been caught by the heavy rain.

After a fish and chips lunch we conducted the formal handover of the Baton that came with photographs from other Sections and a diary. We used a more direct route back to Norwich.

As June 15th was also our club night we were able to take the Baton along to the meeting where it created a lot of interest.

The next day June 16th six riders again met at Postwick Village Hall and set off at 12 noon for Swaffham Market Place to pass the Baton to the Kings Lynn Section. The 36 mile route travelled on the A47 then picked up the B1108 passing through Hingham and Watton then joined the B1077 to Swaffham.

The Baton was formally handed over to Paul Fletcher of the Kings Lynn Section together with the photos that now included a picture of the Ipswich/Norwich handover and the diary that had also been updated for the Norwich Section’s involvement.

Paul with fellow riders from his Section then set off to hand the Baton to the Peterborough Section.
